Data we collect
When you submit a briefing request, we process:
- organization name
- role
- subject of the request (what needs to be verified)
- timeline
- geographic scope
- email address
Server logs kept by the host may include technical data such as IP address, browser type, and the date and time of access, for security and continuity of the site.
We do not create marketing profiles and we do not sell personal data.
Purposes and legal bases
Data received through the briefing form, email, or WhatsApp is processed to review your request, respond, and, where relevant, scope a professional engagement. The legal bases are:
- steps prior to entering into a contract, where you request a mandate (GDPR Article 6(1)(b));
- our legitimate interest in operating a professional enquiry channel and securing the site (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
Mandate work, if instructed, is processed under a separate engagement and is limited to the purpose of that mandate.
Recipients
Data is accessed only by personnel who need it to handle the request. Email and hosting are provided by Infomaniak Network SA (Geneva, Switzerland), which acts as a processor for those technical services.
We do not use a third-party form platform. Submissions are sent to contact@verifield.group.
Transfers
Infomaniak hosts data in Switzerland. The European Commission recognises Switzerland as providing adequate protection for personal data.
Optional WhatsApp contact
You may choose to contact us through WhatsApp instead of the form or email. We then receive your phone number, the profile information visible to us, and the messages you send. We use these details to respond to your enquiry, with the same enquiry retention period described below.
The website uses a simple external link, not an embedded WhatsApp widget. The link opens an editable draft; you decide whether to send it. WhatsApp processes data under its own privacy policy, including any international transfers described there. Email and the website form remain available if you prefer not to use WhatsApp.
Please use this channel for initial business enquiries and scheduling. Avoid sending sensitive documents or unnecessary information about other people.
Retention
- Briefing requests that do not lead to an engagement: deleted or anonymised within 12 months of the last correspondence.
- Requests that lead to a mandate: retained for the duration of the engagement and for the period required by applicable professional, tax, or limitation rules.
- Security logs: retained for a limited period consistent with the host’s operating practices, typically no longer than 12 months unless a security incident requires longer review.
Security
We apply organisational and technical measures appropriate to a confidential professional enquiry: access limited to the mailbox and hosting account, TLS on the public site, and no publication of form contents.
Cookies and third-party fonts
This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. No cookie banner is required for the current setup.
Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser may send a technical request (including IP address) to Google. If you prefer not to use Google Fonts, your browser or network tools can block that request; the site remains readable with system fonts.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions of the GDPR and applicable national law, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of your place of residence, place of work, or of the alleged infringement.
To exercise your rights, write to contact@verifield.group. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Open-source intelligence mandates
Research conducted under a mandate uses only lawful, publicly available sources. Personal data processed in that context is purpose-limited, sourced, and handled under the engagement terms agreed with the client. This website form is not used to collect data about third parties for investigation; please do not submit other people’s personal data except as strictly necessary to identify the professional decision at issue.
Changes
This policy may be updated to reflect legal or operational changes. The date at the top of the page is the effective date of the current version.
